October the 11th in the year of our Lord, may he bless all you faithful readers of this our weekly gibberish and we hope you get more than just your daily bread, like maybe peanut butter to go with it or jelly for you nut intolerant types, 2007. Tasters present where all the committee except Jack who had to work or some other thing.
 Devoid. I had a hard time rating this beer because Nemsis was pissed about something, (probably work related, because I certainly wouldn't do anything to upset anyone), and was bellowing at the top of his lungs even before he had a beer, and Red was shrieking as is her wont anyway, but I got it done. So here goes: Dark coffee color with a tan head that dissipates very quickly. Malty nose with a hint of citrus. Caramel and citrus flavor. Burnt caramel aftertaste that isn't unpleasant. Not a bad beer at all. It's 7.7% and like most over proofed brews it's best not served too cold. Scriveners note: I almost sound like I know what the hell I'm talking about! |
